Arsenal and Manchester City are vying to become England’s champions, as the Premier League title race appears to be going down to the wire. Arsenal are eyeing their first league title since 2003, while Manchester City are going for their third straight title.

The Gunners are currently in first place, eight points ahead of City after having played one more game than their rivals. On April 26, the two clubs will square off at the Etihad in a game that will significantly influence who wins the Premier League title this year.

Supercomputer makes exciting predictions for Manchester City, Arsenal and top four aspirants

While Manchester City and Arsenal fight for the title, Crystal Palace in 11th place and Southampton in 20th place are separated by just seven points at the bottom of the table, where nine teams face the threat of being relegated. After 100,000 simulations, bettingexpert’s BETSiE supercomputer, which considers a variety of data points, including expected goals and projected goals against, has made an attempt to forecast the final Premier League standings.

With Arsenal finishing with a simulation average of 88.1 points to City’s 85.2, it has been predicted that the Gunners will win the Premier League title by about three points over Pep Guardiola’s side. That would be a sight to cherish for the Gunners’ fans, watching their team go from back-to-back to ninth-place finish, to heartbreakingly miss out on top four last season, to win the title this year.

Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, who himself won two FA Cups with the Gunners as a player, have been in excellent form this season and have established a commanding lead going into the final stretch of the nine games remaining. The acquisition of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, two former Manchester City stars, in the summer have bolstered the Gunners’ squad this season, with the Brazilian striker now fully fit.

Elsewhere, with an average of 71.2 points, Newcastle is predicted to finish third, ahead of Manchester United in fourth (69.3). Tottenham are predicted to finish outside the top four, in fifth with an average of 64.1, just missing out on a spot in the Champions League and qualifying for the Europa League.

Brighton (62.9), Liverpool (60.7), and Brentford are the next in line (54.6). With an average point total of 33.4, Southampton are predicted to finish at the bottom of the other end of the table. Everton are also set to drop out of the English top flight for the first time since the 1950/51 season, finishing second-to-last with 36.2 points. With a 36.2 average, Nottingham Forest are projected to finish ahead of Everton and become the third team to relegate to the Championship.
