Following a night out, Darwin Nunez’s partner made an X-rated joke on a recent Instagram photo of the Liverpool striker. With his high-profile transfer from Benfica in the summer, the Uruguayan striker has developed a bit of a following among the Liverpool supporters.
Although he still has lots of time to develop at the age of 22, Darwin Nunez has not quite been able to produce the stats expected of the £85 million deal, scoring just 14 goals in 35 appearances for the Reds in 2022/23. Yet, judging by the response of Liverpool fans to the social media picture, he has already won over the Anfield faithful. His work ethic for his new team frequently receives acclaim, despite the club’s disappointing season.

Fans react hilariously to Darwin Nunez’s girlfriend’s X-rated joke
Darwin Nunez apparently went out for dinner with his girlfriend Lorena Manas ahead of Liverpool’s crucial clash against Arsenal at Anfield. The Reds are struggling in the eighth spot in the Premier League, as a top four finish and Champions League qualification is looking unattainable for them. However, to lighten things up, Nunez’s partner had some jokes for the under-fire striker.
Lorena shared Nunez’s picture eating sushi with the caption: ‘The two things I like to eat the most’ in Spanish.
The Uruguayan is thought to have met Lorena while playing for Spanish club Almeria before moving to the Portuguese side Benfica. Many of the Liverpool fans expressed their astonishment and shock by her comment on Darwin Nunez, but many also found the humour in it and responded with laughing emojis and memes. Reactions poured in:

Jurgen Klopp’s team will look to climb further up the Premier League table from eighth place, where they are trailing Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, who are surging for European qualifying. Liverpool have had a season marked by inconsistency and erratic performance. The Reds having only won two of their last eight games, have been eliminated from the FA Cup, League Cup, and Champions League, with a Premier League top-four finish being the last remaining competition.
The club’s chances this season will depend on how they performs in their next five games, starting with Sunday’s visit from Premier League leaders Arsenal. They will then play relegation-threatened opponents Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham, who will all be vying for whatever point they can get to ensure their continued existence into the upcoming campaign.
After that, Klopp and company will face a Tottenham team who are also vying for Champions League qualification, despite the fact that they are yet to name Antonio Conte’s replacement. And by no surprise, Liverpool will need their club record signing Darwin Nunez to ponder in with goals galore in the final stretch if they are to have any chance of finishing in the top four.
