Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh believes Sunrisers Hyderabad have a less fire-up in their batting lineup to post a big total against any opponent and reckons that Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathi will be a vital player for the Hyderabad side to score runs for their franchise in IPL 2023.
Speaking on his YouTube channel “Harbhajan Turbanator Singh” Harbhajan Singh analyzed the game between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, where the 2016-champions failed to post a big total against Lucknow as they scored only 121 runs at the end of 20 overs.
“I don’t think SRH has a batting unit that can put up a score of 170-190. If Markram doesn’t score, the task becomes more difficult. Tripathi is a skillful player and there is no doubt about it but he hasn’t done anything significant with the bat so far this season. Maybe he might score in the season further,” Harbhajan Singh said.

The 2016 Champions assembled a strong squad for IPL 2023 but failed to prove their worth in the first two games. As their big buys Mayank Agarwal and Harry Brook failed miserably in their first two outings for the Men in Orange.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Punjab Kings in their third game as they will look to register their first win in the league stage and they will look to bring Heinrich Klaasen in place of underperforming Harry Brook. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan-led side coming off fine form win their first two matches and they will be boosted by the arrival of their star pacer Kagiso Rabada for this encounter.
It Was Great Captaincy By KL Rahul – Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh praised KL Rahul for his captaincy and his composed batting in the chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad and also credited Krunal Pandya for his exceptional performance in their 3rd match and also added that the pitch was not suitable for T20 cricket as the surface was very slow for batting.

“It was a great captaincy by Rahul. There wasn’t any need to play any big shots in the chase. He played an inning of 35 runs and Krunal played one of 34 runs. It was an easy 2 points for Lucknow. The match was very boring and there was no fun, there wasn’t enough score, the wicket was very slow and forced SRH to surrender while batting,” Harbhajan Singh added.
Lucknow Super Giants will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their third league game of the season on April 10 at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.
