Anil kumble introduces new rule in the dressing room- fine of 50$ for late comers 1

Anil Kumble might be new to coaching but he is not shying away from leaving his stamp on the Team. Ever since he took charge of the Indian team, he has been devising new policies. From introducing  ‘Buddy Project’, where players are split into groups of two with a senior player, to a session where players bonded over a ‘Drumjam’, Kumble has been very busy in his new role.

This time the coach has showed the strict side of his personality. The Indian team is currently in West Inddies for the Test series and according to reports in Indian Express, Kumble has set a rule, according to which the players will have to pay a fine of 50$ if they are late for the Indian team bus.

This is not the only rule introduced in the dressing room to instill discipline. According to reports, the former Indian bowler has also specified the role of support staff in the team. For example- masseurs have been given a fixed schedule — players can no longer ask for massage at any time.
“Everything is organised. Kumble wants players to understand the importance of discipline and, at the same time, give them freedom. He knows where to draw the line. The Indian team is scheduled to go for scuba diving in the coming days. These small things have been kept for the players to unwind,” a source in the team revealed.

Meanwhile, after the conclusion of two-days practice match, the Indian team is currently enjoying their time in the Caribbeans. The Indian players took to twitter to post some pictures.

The second practice match between India and West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI will start from July 14, while the first Test will start on July 21, at Antigua.
