Rajasthan Royals pacer Trent Boult was elated by the collective team effort for their team’s success in the league stage. Sanju Samson-led side registered their fourth win against Gujarat Titans from five games in the league, only losing a closely fought game against Punjab Kings in their second match.
Speaking to the media, after their thrilling win against defending champions Gujarat Titans, Trent Boult hailed different players for standing up in different situations for their team and reckoned that their star batter Jos Buttler would be upset with his dismissal against Mohammad Shami.
“Different guys standing up at different times has helped us win the game from different situations. Jos (Buttler) is a massive player for us and I am sure he must be frustrated to miss out on some runs tonight. But the hunger from the rest of the batting unit helped us cross the finishing line,” Trent Boult told the reporters.

With 178 runs to chase against Hardik Pandya’s team, Rajasthan Royals had a disastrous start to the innings as they lost their openers inside the power play and their skipper batted the team out of trouble in the middle overs.
Sanju Samson had a terrific outing with the bat as struck 60 runs off just 32 balls to set up perfect for their finisher Shimron Hetmyer 56* (26) to complete the chase. The West Indian batted beautifully and held his nerve in the final few overs to help his team cross the line with 4 balls to spare.
Probably Just The Right Place At The Right Time – Trent Boult
Trent Boult praised their spinning trio for bowling well in the middle overs, as they controlled the run-flow in the middle over. Rajasthan Royals bowled 12 overs of spin against the defending champions with Adam Zampa bowling the tough death overs alongside Sandeep Sharma.
“Twelve overs from Spinners and Sandeep (Sharma) also bowled nicely, closed the match well,” Trent Boult said.

Speaking on the high catch of his 1st wicket, Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer all went for the catch and no one backed off, as the ball popped out Samson’s wicketkeeper glove which was taken by Trent Boult at the end.
“Crazy one it goes high in the night skies. Obviously, in this amazing crowd, you can’t hear much. I would call myself lucky, probably just the right place at the right time,” he added.
Rajasthan Royals will take on Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on April 19 and they will look to continue their winning momentum in their first home game in Jaipur.
