Juventus mocked Manchester United on social media after Erik ten Hag’s side were eliminated from the Europa League by Sevilla on Thursday evening. Sevilla advanced to the semi-finals with a 3-0 win over United in the second leg of the quarter-finals at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Spain.
Manchester United’s Europa League campaign ended in humiliation on Friday night, thanks to a slew of self-inflicted setbacks. However, many would feel this quarter-final was lost at Old Trafford in the first leg, when United led 2-0 and had chances to seal the tie, but surrendered two late own goals to lose the initiative.

Juventus taunt Manchester United with hilarious parody clip
Juventus, who eliminated Sporting CP in the quarter-finals on Thursday, will face Sevilla in the Europa League semi-finals. However, Juventus wasted no time in delightfully mocking Manchester United on TikTok through releasing a parody clip from the 2010 movie Four Lions.
The clip shows the club crests of Juventus, Sevilla, and Bayer Leverkusen, all of which are in the Europa League semi-finals, celebrating while Manchester United, as Four Lions’ character Barry, looks on. The Red Devils did endure a horror night as they once again were the architects of their downfall.
Erik ten Hag was without his first-choice centre-back partnership of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, who suffered injuries during the first leg at Old Trafford, a setback that would have a significant impact on this meek European departure.
Harry Maguire has had a forgettable season, with the Manchester United captain losing his starting spot at the start of the season when Ten Hag concluded he couldn’t trust the 30-year-old. However, things got much worse for Maguire, whose early blunder allowed Sevilla the opening goal and set the tone for a defeat.

United missed the influence of suspended playmaker Bruno Fernandes, but his forced absence could not explain such a dreadful performance from a purportedly improving club. Christian Eriksen said after United’s defeat to Sevilla that they must change their “mentality” ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Brighton. He told BT Sport:
“A lot of things happened. We didn’t really give them a game from the first minute and we gave them a lot of opportunities to finish us off. We lost a bit of our coolness, we made more mistakes than we do usually and the whole team could not catch up with mistakes our teammates made.
“If you give away goals like we did, you lose, it’s nothing to do with the atmosphere. Our own game was not strong enough. It’s football, sometimes you have good days, sometimes you have bad days and it was a bad day. Luckily, we have a game in four days.
“Every football player makes mistakes, they punished us straight away. It’s how we bounce back and today we were not strong enough to bounce back from the mistakes. The mentality has to change, we know it will be a completely different opponent and different style so from tomorrow we will be focusing on Brighton.”
