About the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match between Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and the team of Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green on Smackdown, there was nothing special about it except for the end, which was not clean. Rodriguez threw water on the face of Chelsea and Morgan pinned with a rollup with Rodriguez giving support with her legs. The referee failed to notice everything and it was a shocking victory for the babyface side who cheated to win.
The referee’s role was really questionable. We could understand he failed to notice everything but there were clear watermarks on the apron of the ring which clearly indicated towards something possibly wrong. The booking of the match was really poor we must say.

WWE SmackDown 21.04.2023 Results & Ratings Part 2
Backstage Matt Riddle was interviewed by Kayla Braxton where he was asked about his game plan for tonight’s no DQ match against Solo Sikoa. Riddle said that Solo was the reason behind him missing action for months, he also buried him under the announce table. Tonight he would take his revenge.
Match 4 – WWE Intercontinental Championship – Gunther defeated Xavier Woods to retain
This match was booked for seven and a half minutes and it was a good Championship bout. Surprisingly this was Xavier Woods’ first intercontinental championship opportunity. In his decade long WWE carrier he never got any opportunity to challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
About the match it was average. As everybody expected it was an easy win for the WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Woods was never a legitimate threat for the Ring General. Gunther defeated Woods via submission as Woods failed to answer to the Coquina Clutch.

Some of the matches for Backlash had been announced as three new matches were added to the card, first one was a triple threat United States championship match where Austin theory would be challenged by Bobby Lashley for the 999th time and Bronson Reed would be a new challenger.
The Smackdown Women’s championship match had also been finalized between Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega. But then there was the shocking match. Seth Rollins vs. Omos! We mean why? There was absolutely no build up to this match. These two athletes not even ever went face to face. Suddenly you here that a match between these two wrestlers are getting finalized for a pay per view event.

The Usos came out to the arena next for the first and only promo segment of the night. They talked about their defeat at WrestleMania 39 to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and how they felt about losing the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship. Jimmy Uso did a very good mimicry of Matt Riddle here.
They also talked about the upcoming six man tag team match where The Bloodline would take on the team of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle at the upcoming Backlash pay per view event. They also said that next week they would take their Tag Team championships away from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on SmackDown just like Solo Sikoa would take out Matt Riddle tonight.
