This week’s RAW started as the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes came out to the arena. He started the promo with his vintage style and then he addressed his rivalry with Brock Lesnar so far and talked about his upcoming match with The Beast Incarnate at Backlash.
He first showed photos the beatdown he received three weeks ago from Brock Lesnar on WWE RAW. He then removed his start and showed the permanent scar he received before Hell in a Cell last year. He said he was never afraid of any beatdown and he never backed down from a fight.

He explained how he defeated Seth Rollins who was one of the best in this business at Hell in a Cell even with this scary injury so Brock Lesnar would not be a huge deal for him either. He then thanked the fans for always being on his side and the fans showed positive gesture towards the American Nightmare.
Cody Rhodes was about to leave but Finn Balor interrupted him. He said that he could understand how he was screwed at WrestleMania 39 during his World title match against Roman Reigns. But he lost the match because he had no one to have his back. He lost because he trusted the wrong man.
Finn said that Cody had to be smart just like him. Now he was going against Brock Lesnar and this was a match he could not win. He quickly added that he could not win on his own. Cody said that whatever he was trying to sell he was not buying. He was not interested in his proposal.
Finn said that he would listen to him if he respected him. He then gave a proposal to Cody to join the Judgment Day. He claimed that he would be unstoppable if he joined their faction. Cody declined his proposal and said that he was medically cleared for in ring action and then he challenged him in a match later tonight.
Match 1 – The Bloodline defeated The LWO
This match was booked for only five minutes and it was an easy victory for the Bloodline. Of course, the Bloodline had to win but the question is, why does LWO have to lose everything single week? The LWO did not win a single match since the resurrection. Every single week they are losing.
We can understand that Bloodline had to win this match but they could have arranged a different opponent side for them. Why did it have to be the LWO? This might have been the worst resurrection of any faction in WWE history. Jey Uso pinned Cruz Deltoro after the 1D to earn the victory for his side.
After the match, the Usos said that they had one bad night in the recent time and that was WrestleMania 39 because they lost the Tag Team championships. But at SmackDown they would take their Tag Team titles back and they would dedicate their victory to the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
