Lucknow Super Giants officials opened up about the difference of opinions between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir as the 2011 World Cup winners were seen having a heated argument after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win over Lucknow Super Giants on Monday.
Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli was seen animated throughout the match and was seen in extreme celebration for Lucknow Super Giants wickets, and had a word with LSG batters Amit Mishra and Naveen ul Haq in the final over of the game, which was not well received by Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir, who gave it back Kohli after the game.
In the post-match handshakes between the players Gautam Gambhir was seen as furious at the RCB players for their conduct on the field especially on Virat Kohli, before Kyle Mayers and Naveen ul Haq had a go at Virat Kohli before officials and teammates separated them away for the clash.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, an LSG official revealed that it was a simple ego clash between two former Indian teammates and said that this kind of thing happened in the heat of the moment and they are nothing serious to look at in this issue.
“It was simply an ego clash between the two greats of Indian cricket. There was nothing serious. It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. It happens in such a high-tension game,” an LSG official, told the Hindustan Times.
During the game, Virat Kohli had a go at young Afghanistan batter Naveen ul Haq and Indian veteran Amit Mishra during the 17th over, as they had words of exchange before the umpires intervened to stop the quarrel to continue the game, which continued in post-match exchanges.
Gautam Gambhir And Virat Kohli Charged A 100% Match Fee
Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli were charged 100% of the match fee for their conduct in the match and Naveen ul Haq was charged 50% of the match fee for his behaviour in the field further, LSG’s official said that things were calmed down after the post-match presentation as the LSG owners had a meeting with the side regarding the matter.

“There was no bad blood after the presentation. The LSG bosses did hold a meeting of the players and officials at the ground after the match,” he added.
Earlier, in their previous encounter in Chinnaswamy stadium, Lucknow Super Giants made a brilliant comeback to secure the win in the final ball to break the hearts of Bangalore fans and the Lucknow Super Giants had a wild celebration in the ground after the game with Gautam Gambhir silencing the Bangalore side and the RCB team was pumped throughout the game to give it back to LSG side in the Ekana Stadium.
