WWE Draft 2023 started in the previous episode of Friday Night Smackdown where some of the biggest names like Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns got drafted to both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown. Both sides got some big names.

Speaking of Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare was having an excellent feud for the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. He lost the first match against the tribal chief at WrestleMania 39 and the feud was likely to be continued even after the event.

WWE Draft – Why Cody Rhodes Stayed In RAW – Possible Reasons

It was pretty much clear to everyone that even after the draft, these two big names would stay on the same brand so that they could continue their feud for the Universal Heavyweight Championship. Nobody expected that WWE would leave this feud in the middle of nowhwere.

But to surprise everyone, Roman Reigns remained on Friday Night Smackdown and the American Nightmare was kept on Monday Night RAW. It is being believed that WWE would go for the hard brand split after this draft and there are really fat chances that this feud would continue. It seems it had to end right at WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes Got Drafted To RAW On WWE Draft 2023

Here we give our opinions on why WWE decided to keep the American Nightmare on Monday night RAW and not continue his epic feud with The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Before we continue the discussion thing, it is completely our opinion and we are not claiming it to be true.

We believe there might be two possible reasons behind it. The first reason is nothing but the World Heavyweight Championship and WWE wants Cody Rhodes to be the first World Heavyweight champion. This is my WWE kept him on RAW, the brand that would have be World Heavyweight Championship as their exclusive property.

There might be another reason. There are reports that are suggesting that WWE is planning a possible Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes match for WrestleMania XL. So they wanted to keep this match fresh for the Grandest Stage of them all. If they seriously have such a plan, then there is no chance of having the feud going right now.

So far it looks like most of the big names of WWE right now have joined Monday night RAW and it would definitely make the World Heavyweight championship scenario more exciting. With Cody Rhodes staying in RAW, he is definitely worthy of being the first World Heavyweight Champion.
