Backstage in Smackdown, The Bloodline was seen in their locker room. Of course there was no Roman Reigns. He has to give time to his family, right? There was no Paul Heyman in this segment either. He is the only one in WWE who has a family and needs to give it time. The Usos looked all pumped up for tomorrow’s six man tag team match.

Jey Uso then turned his attention to his brother Solo Sikoa and ask him if he was ready to do his job. Solo said that he was all ready for it, now they should be ready to do their job as well. The crack in the Bloodline storyline continued here in this segment as well.

WWE Smackdown 05.05.2023 Ratings & Analysis Part 4

Next up was the tag team match between the Street Profits and Imperium. We think we do not have to tell you about the outcome of the match, because just like the LWO, The Imperium just cannot win a single match as a team. Without Gunther, the other two members have no significance at all. Gunther might be a big star for the future, but the other two are nothing but jobbers.

We seriously doubt if Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci have any future in WWE. Apart from being the two side kicks of Gunther, they have absolutely no impact. As we mentioned above, these two wrestlers are complete jobbers. But we seriously hope their status improve in the future as it looks like the Tag Team titles will not be exclusive to the Bloodline anymore.

About the match, it was the shortest match of the night at it did not even get it three minute booking time. It was a very easy victory for the Street Profits. It could be considered as a squash if it was booked for a little lesser time. The Street Profits is being built as a very strong Tag Team once again and surely they are going to win more Tag Team titles.

Definitely, there will be a different set of Tag Team titles for Friday Night Smackdown, or else they would not build these tag teams on such high notes. The Street Profits already has to job a lot for a number of years just because of WWE’s crazy obsession with the Bloodline. Hopefully their glory would be restored.

Next up was the final hype package for the main event of tomorrow’s paid per view event Backlash; Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar. Cody Rhodes was the one who took the responsibility of doing the final promotion for the match on tonight’s SmackDown. He came out to the arena to cut a monologue promo.

The promo was really good. It was one of the best things about tonight’s SmackDown. After hearing such promos, it gets difficult to understand why any promotion took so much time to give main event status to Cody Rhodes. This guy is literally amazing on the mic, inside the ring, he is really good at whatever he does.

Cody Rhodes called Brock Lesnar the gatekeeper for him before a reaching the ultimate success. Brock Lesnar was his one final task before he wins the new World Heavyweight Championship, this is how Cody described to Brock Lesnar. He was the final gatekeeper for him.

He also reminded every one of the Here Comes the Pain gimmick of Brock Lesnar when he said “Tomorrow I bring the pain.” he said that he should be afraid of Brock Lesnar but he was not at all afraid of him and he is all ready for Backlash. He would claim his Kingdom once again by beating Brock Lesnar.
