Next up, WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Rhea Ripley squashed Dana Brooke on RAW. Before we talk about the match, we need to talk about a fun thing. When Dana Brooke was making her entrance, she attempted to do a high five with a little boy in the crowd. The little boy did not respond at all. Maybe he was too innocent for that. But it was a little embarrassing for the former fifteen times WWE 24/7 champion.
About the match, it was more of a squash from the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. She kept on receiving strong bookings. It was a pretty easy and dominant victory for the Nightmare. These victories clearly show that she is not going to drop her title very soon. We wonder if WWE has anyone in their mind who could potentially dethrone her.
WWE RAW 08.05.2023 Ratings & Analysis Part 3
After the match, former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya showed up and confronted the current champion. It clearly meant that she is going to have a feud with Rhea Ripley and definitely the Australian would receive a victory in this feud as well cause we all know Natalya is not going to win the title at this stage of her career.
We have no issues with Rhea Ripley winning back to back Matches and feuds. Our issue is having Natalya as the rival of the champion at this moment when they have a lot of young wrestlers in their roster who are completely been misused, or better say not even being used at all.
They should have given the opportunity to some young wrestler rather than Natalya. For example, Xia Li or Tegan Nox or Piper Niven having a feud with Rhea would have been a great boost for her career, even if she loses. They are just wasting time with giving such opportunities to a wrestler who is 40 year old.
After this segment, one of the newest NXT call ups Zoey Stark was being interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton. She cut a very strong heel promo before she saw Nikki Cross. She insulted the former RAW Women’s champion and challenged her in a match for later tonight which Cross accepted.
Next up was the tag team match that was announced earlier tonight between Imperium and the WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The champions won this match and of course they had to win because imperium did not win a single match without the Ring General Gunther.
We have no issues with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn winning but what does WWE have in their mind for the champions right now and who is going to be the challenges for their Tag Team titles next? It is still not cleared if they would roam from brand to brand or their titles would split.
