This week on Monday Night RAW, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes appeared to address his defeat by the hands of Brock Lesnar this Saturday at Night of Champions. He had an injury in his left arm and WWE officials including Triple H requested him not to get into the fight at Night of Champions.
But he did not listen and went to the big fight against Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate kept on attacking Cody Rhodes’ injured arm. Cody could not survive the fight and he lost. Of course, this injury was kayfabe and it was planned so that Cody does not look weak after his defeat.

WWE RAW – Rivalry Reignited: Cody Rhodes Throws Down the Gauntlet to Brock Lesnar
The American Nightmare appeared on RAW to address Brock Lesnar and he made things pretty much clear that he was not done with the Beast Incarnate. Surely the duo would have at least one more fight. While cutting the promo on Monday Night RAW, The winner of the men’s Royal Rumble match of 2023 said;
“My contemporaries thought I was stupid to wrestle Brock Lesnar with one hand,” Rhodes began. “They said I was crazy to not tap out, but there’s a reason why I didn’t tap out. I did not out tap out because that’s not the man I want to be. Years ago, sure, I probably would have tapped out.”

Cody Rhodes Issues Open Challenge To Brock Lesnar
“Brock Lesnar, are you satisfied with this being done?” Rhodes asked. “I hope you’re not because consider this an open challenge to you. Hopefully, you have social media, cable, or something there in Saskatchewan, because I’m going to post my entire schedule sometime this week. If I am standing in a ring, I’m standing there ready to fight you, Brock Lesnar!”
The American Nightmare concluded the promo by saying; “Brock Lesnar is afraid of Cody Rhodes.” The feud will definitely continue and the duo will face each other for the third time soon. The rumored venue so far is the very next PLE of WWE which is Money in the Bank.

However, there are reports that Cody Rhodes would be participating in the Money in the Bank ladder match. There are also reports that WWE is trying to book a dream match between Cody Rhodes and Bray Wyatt at Summerslam. If this match actually takes place, then Cody and Brock would go on to conclude their feud at Money in the Bank.
