Adidas, on Saturday (June 3), revealed the price for Team India’s new jersey. A couple of days ago, the global sportswear brand had shared the first look of Team India’s new jerseys as they released separate jersey for each of the three formats.

The fans were eagerly waiting for the jersey ever since it was announced that the BCCI had struck a deal with Adidas for Team India’s kit. Adidas have retained the famous 3-stripes for kits for all formats of the game. On Thursday (June 1), Adidas India took to Instagram to share a photo of the shirt of the India cricket team. The Test, ODI and T20I kits’ first look was unveiled and going by the reaction on social media, one can say that the fans were not disappointed with the new jersey.

“An iconic moment. An iconic stadium. Introducing the new Team India Jerseys,” wrote Adidas as they used the iconic Wankhede Stadium as the backdrop for the jersey unveiling.

Recently, Team India players were seen sporting the new Adidas training kits even before the jerseys were unveiled. Rohit Sharma and Co. have been training at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club in Sussex ahead of the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia.

Fans disappointed with Adidas’ price for Team India’s jersey:

While the fans were really impressed with the look of the jerseys, one cannot say that same about the price of the same. Adidas India, on Saturday (June 3), announced that the fans will have to spend Rs 4,999 to buy the new jerseys. And the high price has not gone down well with many.

Fans took to social media platform Twitter to express their displeasure over the same. While some fans urged Adidas to lower the price, some said that they will wait for the replica jerseys to be out in the market..

India’s men team will be the first Indian team to sport the new Adidas jersey when they take on Australia in the upcoming ICC WTC Final. The match is scheduled to be played from June 7 at the Oval in London.
