A married Premier League and England star has been sensationally accused of cheating on his wife with a woman he met via Instagram. The football star reportedly paid the lady a whopping £20,000 to have an abortion.
Footballers having extra-marital affair is nothing new and the latest episode has only increased the number of footballers who were engaged in such activities. As per reports in MailOnline, the footballer and the Instagram influencer began their relationship in January 2019. The influencer has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and is a single mother.
It all began after the footballer noticed the influencer on Instagram and messaged her after seeing her selfies. The couple reportedly went to strip club Platinum Lace in London for their first date. The footballer managed to hide his identity by pulling his jumper over his face when being captured by paparazzi while he was coming out of the club.
Following the first, they were engaged in several sexual encounters – including one in a hotel the night before one of his Premier League side’s matches. The football star managed to arrange for her to bypass the club’s security officials and sneak into his bedroom.
As per reports from other outlets, the footballer intimidated the influencer into signing a non-disclosure agreement after hiring a £500-an-hour lawyers to send warning letters.
Charities condemn Premier League star:
The Premier League star’s antics have understandably not gone down well with many and several charities have condemned the antics. As per The Sun, Teresa Parker of Women’s Aid has said: “It is horrendous for a woman to be faced with intimidating behaviour from a football player, whereby she feels forced to sign an NDA and delete photos and messages.
“We run a campaign — Football United Against Domestic Violence — that tries to promote healthy relationships, and footballers using financial power and status to legally intimidate women is abusive. We need to stand up against controlling behaviour in relationships together. It is unacceptable,” she added.
The report further added that the footballer invited the lady to his home for sex when his wife and children were away. And in 2021, she informed him about her pregnancy only to discover that the footballer was not at all pleased with the news.
The footballer allegedly told her: “I have had to leave training. I felt sick.”
The lady underwent an abortion in London last year and has not met the footballer since then. In March last year, the player arranged for £20,000 to be paid to her while demanding she stay silent about their affair.
“He is married and has children and he was clearly scared about how it would affect his family if it all ever came out. He has been smart paying her off as she can never reveal his name.
“She got £20,000 which isn’t going to hurt him when you think about how much these guys earn every week.
“Meeting young women on things like Instagram and Snapchat is the usual way for these rich young footballers who know many women would get starry-eyed that a famous person has contacted them,” a source was quoted as saying by MailOnline.
