The Chief Content Officer of WWE Triple H introduced a newly designed unified WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship title. For over one year, Roman Reigns had been walking around with two World titles; The Universal title and the WWE title. Finally the two titles have been merged and we have a brand new title.
As long as Roman Reigns was moving around with two titles, there was a possibility of a potential split of the two titles. But recently, Triple H introduced a new World Heavyweight Championship title which would be exclusive for Monday Night RAW. So there was no need of keeping two titles around Roman’s waist.

However, recent reports from Xero News suggest that WWE is planning to introduce at least two more new championships. The Smackdown Women’s title and the RAW Women’s Championship would be getting new designs and new names according to reports from the mentioned source;
“New Women’s titles coming will mirror their male counterparts. World Womens will be smaller version of WHC – White Strap. WWE Womens will be smaller version of Romans new Title – white strap” Xero News wrote on their Twitter regarding the upcoming plans for the Women’s titles.
Triple H Might Introduce Two More Women’s Titles
The Smackdown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is currently a member of Monday Night RAW and the RAW Women’s Champion Asuka is currently active on Smackdown. After the second brand split, WWE introduced some brand specific titles. Every time the wrestlers holding those titles changed brands, they exchanged the titles.
But after this year’s WWE Draft, the titles did not change hands like the previous years. Finally, it looks like WWE is getting rid of brand specific titles. The Tag Team titles have been unified last year and if they introduce new Tag Team titles for Smackdown, they might get rid of brand specific Tag Team titles as well.
A number of names have also been rumored for the new Women’s titles. Fans have started to share their own predictions on the names. The most favorite names that have been pitched by the WWE Universe are WWE Women’s World Championship and WWE Women’s Universal Championship which could be ideal “counter parts” of the men’s World titles.
