The name Virat Kohli is synonymous with entertainment. The batting superstar hardly squanders any chance to entertain his millions of fans. It does not matter whether he has the bat in his hand or not, he just knows how to keep the keep the fans entertained whenever he is on the field.
And he showed it once again on Wednesday when India and Australia were fighting it out on day one of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval in London. The highly-anticipated WTC final finally went underway on Wednesday. India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first.
His decision was justified early on as Mohammed Siraj dismissed Usman Khawaja for a duck in the 4th over of the game. David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne then steadied the ship for Australia by adding 69 runs for the second wicket. Shardul Thakur broke the stand at the stroke of lunch when he made Warner edge a short ball behind the stumps.

Warner departed after scoring 43. And Australia could add only 4 runs after lunch before Mohammed Shami gave India another breakthrough by dismissing Labuschagne to leave the Aussies reeling at 76 for 3. Travis Head and Steve Smith then stopped the rot and took the score past the 100-run mark and eventually helped their team finish the day in the driver’s seat.
Virat Kohli’s hilarious moment:
As Head and Smith were busy batting Australia to a position of strength, Virat Kohli decided to have some fun at the latter’s expense. The former India skipper, who loves to imitate others, decided to entertain the fans by copying Smith’s famous quirky mannerism.
Here is a clip of the incident:
Talking about the game, Australia finished day one of the WTC final on 327 for 3. Travis Head scored 146 while Smith scored 95 as the duo ended the day unbeaten. At the time of writing this report, Australia were on 376 for 5.
