Backstage the Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were seen talking to each other and all the tag teams of Smackdown interfered and demanded Tag Team Championship opportunity. Adam Pearce announced a gauntlet match for next week where the winners would be given a Tag Team Championship opportunity.
Austin Theory got interviewed backstage where he expressed his anger for not being treated as a proper champion like Roman Reigns. He also said that he did not get enough time to get prepared for his big match tonight. Still, he would prove to the entire world why he was the best.

Match 5 – WWE United States Championship – Austin Theory defeated Jey Uso
The match was not as good as everybody expected it could be. But it did a good job to continue the storyline in further. It was a book for around six minutes and as a match it did not have anything much to offer. The fan favorite Jey Uso a defeat by the hands of the WWE United States champion Austin Theory in this match but not in a very dominant way.
During the match, the referee was knocked out and Pretty Deadly, the team that was in Alliance with Theory right now interfered and started beating down Jey Uso. Jimmy Uso came out to save his brother and this is the first time we get to see him tonight in SmackDown. He managed to take both of the Pretty Deadly members out of the ring.

Solo Sikoa interfered next and he attacked Jimmy. As he was about to attack him with a Samoan Spike, Jey Uso blocked his hand. Solo pushed Jey off, Jimmy attempted to hit a Super Kick on Solo, but Solo ducked he directly hit Jey on the face. That was pretty much it for Jey to discontinue the match.
Jimmy threw Solo out of the ring, Solo was supposed to go out of the ring from on top of the top rope, but he badly botched it. These are the most basic moves that are taught in professional wrestling. Solo could not even sell such an easy move, and WWE officials are planning to build him as the next main event star. After seeing this they should rethink about it.
Jimmy went outside to fight Solo, meanwhile, Theory pinned Jey who was down after the super kick. After the match, Jimmy went inside the ring to check on his brother. Jey pushed Jimmy away in utter frustration. Jimmy tried to explain that he did not do it intentionally. Jey was pretty much frustrated as he left the ring. Jimmy stood inside the ring with frustration as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
