WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns recently celebrated the 1000 day landmark as a World Champion in WWE. He is the first wrestler to achieve such a huge success in 36 long years. The last wrestler to achieve something like this was the WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.

WWE CEO Nick Khan recently appeared on the MoffettNathanson’s Inaugural Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference where he dropped a bombshell that WWE would be coming to India in September for a major Live Show. It has also been confirmed that the show will take place on September 9th.

Huge Update: Roman Reigns To Defend His Universal Title In India? Who Could Be The Possible Opponent?

Since this would be a big Live Show, fans are expecting to see some of the biggest names of the promotion in this massive event. Wrestlers like the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, the United States Champion Austin Theory, and the Intercontinental Champion Gunther are all expected to be a part of this show.

However, recent reports from The Wrestling Blog suggest that the biggest wrestler of them all Roman Reigns is also heavily rumoured to be a part of this big Indian live event. Not only he would be a part of the show, but he would defend his Universal Heavyweight title in front of the Indian crowd as well.

Roman Reigns Might Defend His Universal Title In India

“As of right now, there’s no plans on having Cody vs Roman 2 taking place at Wrestlemania 40” The Wrestle Blog claimed on Twitter. “The idea was pitch in by some people, but those talks have stopped. It was also mentioned Roman could possibly defend his title at the event is taking place on India this upcoming September.”

This would be really massive for the Indian crowd to get to see Roman Reigns defending his title in front of them. But who could be possible opponent of the Tribal Chief in this huge Indian Live Show? Who would show the guts to challenge The Head of the Table in front of a big Indian Crowd?

As of now, there is no confirmation on who would be the one to challenge Roman Reigns for the title in India. But the strongest possibility to be the big opponent to be Roman’s opponent at the mentioned event would be AJ Styles. Other possibilities include the names like Bobby Lashley and Rey Mysterio but we think AJ Styles would be the best person for this match.
