One of the biggest legends of WWE is rumoured to return to WWE according to various reports and rumours. This big name is none other than former WWE United States and Intercontinental Champion Carlito who had been a major face during the Ruthless Aggression Era and the early PG Era of WWE.
Carlito was scheduled to compete in an event of GNW recently he cancelled the appearance and he is not scheduled for the show anymore. He was set to appear on GNW: Smiths Falls Showdown on July 15 but the organizers of the show are now claiming that he would return to WWE after cancelling the appearance.

‘Carlito is returning to WWE we were informed [today] so there will be a replacement [announced] for the July 15 GNW Smiths Falls event in the coming days! Best of luck to him!’ They wrote this statement on their Facebook page on sharing light on this topic.
Carlito made a shocking appearance during WWE Backlash PLE event where he helped Bad Bunny to fight Damian Priest. Fans were overly joyed to see him back to WWE, but unfortunately, it was just one appearance return and he was not seen working in WWE after that.

He spoke with Metro one week before his surprise Backlash appearance where he said; “Yeah, I’m open to whatever, any good offer from anywhere, it doesn’t matter. Thing is, nobody calls me so I don’t sit by the phone either. If something comes up, great, if not I keep doing what I’m doing.”
So what to expect if the claims of GNW is true and if he actually returns to WWE? In his previous Backlash appearance, he was seen appearing in the LWO T-Shirt and the fans were expecting to see him working regularly in WWE as a member of the famous LWO faction that has started to rock Friday Night Smackdown.
If he returns, we are expecting to see him getting a legends treatment in WWE and he might work as a mentor or a member of the LWO. He would be an excellent addition of the faction. He can also be presented in different role, maybe a valet like MVP. Moreover, we would love to see him back on a regular basis.
