Nitin Memon has been one of the most popular umpires in the game at present. He is the lone Indian representative in the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires. The 39-year old was promoted to the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in June 2020.

He gained popularity during the Covid-19 period when he officiated in majority of India’s home games due to the travel restrictions imposed on overseas citizens. Later, he officiated in two T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022. He was also in England last year to officiate during their home series against South Africa.

Nitin Menon is once again in England and will soon be seen in action in the ongoing Ashes. He is expected to be on the umpiring bench for the final three Ashes Tests. So far, the Indian umpire has officiated in 15 Tests, 24 ODIs, and 20 T20Is.
