All eyes are on Real Madrid in the ongoing summer transfer window as the club tries to lure Kylian Mbappe to Spain. The French superstar’s future is currently the hottest point of discussion in the game following his revelation that he will not extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe’s contract with the Ligue 1 champions will end next summer. Reports have suggested that PSG are furious with the forward and do not want to lose him for free. Consequently, the club is willing to hear offers from other clubs. Real Madrid, who tried to sign Mbappe last year too, are once again heavily linked with the World Cup-winner.

And while only time will tell where Mbappe plays next season, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has issued a huge update on the club’s pursuit of the star player. While Real Madrid were very keen to sign him up last season, it looks like Mbappe is unlikely to move to Madrid after Perez issued an update on the club’s transfer plans for the summer.

Real Madrid sign ex-Newcastle United flop:

Following Karim Benzema’s departure, Real Madrid have signed up former Stoke City and Newcastle United flop Joselu. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Perez has stated that Joselu will be the last signing of the summer for the Spanish giants. Earlier this month, Real had also confirmed the signing of Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid.

After failing to make a mark in England, Joselu has redeemed himself in Spain. Last season, he scored 16 goals in the La Liga while playing for Espanyol. During his forgettable outing in England, he managed to score only 10 goals in the Premier League between 2015 and 2019.

With Real Madrid all but pulling out of the deal to sign Mbappe, Manchester United are now reportedly the frontrunners to sign him. As per media reports, Mbappe could even trade places with United star Marcus Rashford, who also has one year left on his current deal.
