Zoey Stark is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion who was recently promoted on to the main roster recently during the WWE Draft 2023 and she had been working as a heel ever since. Last month she teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus and she is helping her in her feud against Becky Lynch.
The women’s roster of WWE is pretty thick and most of the women are not even getting regular booking. Talented wrestlers like Piper Niven and Tegan Nox cannot even find their names on WWE Main Event which is a C show of the promotion. Whereas Stark is getting regular booking with some meaningful storyline.

But wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley thinks otherwise. The former nine times WWE Tag Team Champion thinks Stark is doing worse than she did on the main roster. Speaking on the “Busted Open Radio,” the former WWE and ECW star said;
“In NXT, I really enjoyed Zoey Stark. So far, on the main roster, not so much. I feel that her promo and verbiage are extremely forced and that she’s trying to memorize her lines. I didn’t feel the same way about her in NXT — I felt she was a lot more relaxed and going out there and letting it flow. Now, is it because of the big spotlight of Monday Night Raw? Maybe she’s not used to someone from Gorilla telling her to do things?

“I go by the way things make me feel — the tone, inflection, volume, energy, and personality. I’m actually looking in Zoey’s eyes, and watching her memorize stuff.
“End of the match, when she’s sitting atop the ladder – after Becky defeated Chelsea — she’s got this mean, ‘I’m gonna get you’ pro wrestling face on. To me, all of that stuff screams Vince. I will defend Vince on a lot of the great things, but some of the stuff he wants is so over-the-top sometimes.”
Bubba Ray Dudley might be right with Stark’s work so far on the main roster but it is pretty much clear that WWE has really big plans for the 29 year old professional wrestler. Ever since joining the main roster she had been receiving regular and strong booking. The pressure on the main roster remains pretty high so it would not be strange to see someone struggle. But we can expect her to improve soon.
