We would try to look at some of the possibilities of this potential big return. Recently, Wrestling Headlines reported that Johnny Gargano might return at MITB on July 1. But that would not be much of a ‘big’ return. Maybe a return in the women’s division to make the women’s MITB a seven woman ladder match.
There are reports that a current existing faction might get reunited. The Way was one of the most fun factions of the NXT and we have seen glimpses of it in the main roster as well. But none of the wrestlers could active regularly so they are yet to make an impact on the main roster.
A Big Return Might Take Place At MITB
But recent reports from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the recently returned WWE RAW star Tommaso Ciampa would not only team up with Johnny Gargano to reunite the DIY but also be a member of The Way to make the faction bigger and stronger. The DIY reunion had been strongly rumoured.
LA Knight and Iyo Sky had been the favorites to win the men’s and women’s MITB matches respectively. These two athletes remained the favorites from the early days, and as per BetOnline, they are still favorites. However, the addition of Logan Paul might differ the men’s match favorite now.
The MITB match card currently features five matches along with the two ladder matches and a World Heavyweight Championship match. However, there are rumours that there will be total of seven matches. We can expect to see either of the Tag Team Championships gets defended, or maybe both.
