Two weeks ago, Shotzi confronted Bayley and Iyo Sky where she challenged the former three times WWE Women’s Champion in a match where she would have to put her Money in the Bank spot on the line. Iyo Sky accepted the challenge of Shotzi on behalf of her partner and the former champion looked unhappy.
The match was even advertised for last week’s Smackdown and everyone was pretty much certain that this match is taking place. But surprisingly, the match was nowhere to be seen last week on last week and there was no mention of it either. Any of these wrestlers did not even appear either.

It was a little strange that an advertised match got canceled and WWE did not even bother to give any kind of reason behind it. Such things only happened during the reign of Vince McMahon. Speaking of Vince, it was reported after last week’s Smackdown that he made a lot of changes on the show.
So it is pretty much clear that this decision is made by none other than Vince McMahon himself. But what was the actual reason behind canceling this match? There had been no concrete update behind this cancellation but a lot of speculations were raised from the fans and different media outlets as well.
Bayley Vs. Shotzi Was Scheduled For Smackdown Last Week But Got Canceled
Most of the fans are not happy with this change of not booking Bayley on last week’s Smackdown. Fans have already started to speculate that Vince McMahon did not like Damage CTRL and this was why the leader of the faction was cut off.
But we have a different opinion on why this match was taken out. We think if this match took place the former champion would have definitely lost to Shotzi and also had to lose her Money in the Bank spot to her.
Maybe this would have helped building the feud between her and Iyo Sky that was rumoured for a long time. Ever since Triple H became in charge of WWE Creative, he never had any big plans for Bayley, in fact, he treated her like a jobber in most cases.
But Vince McMahon never booked her so badly. She became a big star under Vince and we think Vince wants to re elevate her to the top spot. That is the reason why he cancelled the match so that she could wrestle in Money in the Bank. Vince might have received a lot of backlash for this decision, but we believe he did the right thing.
