Roman Reigns had been one of the most dominant World Champions in WWE history who is carrying the WWE Universal heavyweight championship for nearly 3 long years. He is the first wrestler in 36 long years to achieve such a milestone. The last wrestler to have something like this was Hulk Hogan and that was back in 1987.
The Tribal Chief has achieved some of the biggest milestones in WWE history recently. One of the biggest once has already been mentioned. Now has a longer world title reign in WWE than Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Triple H, the Undertaker, John Cena, and CM Punk.

Roman Reigns’ Monumental Achievement: Another Milestone Reached Last Saturday
Recently the Head of the Table broke another record. Last Saturday, he surpassed 1027 days as a World Champion in WWE. WWE Hall of Famer Pedro Morales set the record of holding the WWE World Championship for 1027 days 50 long years ago, and it is now surpassed by your Tribal Chief. You now got another reason to acknowledge him.
The legendary professional wrestler Pedro Morales defeated another professional wrestling legend Ivan Koloff in 1971 to win the WWWF Heavyweight Championship and became the 4th official WWE World champion. In December 1973, he dropped to the Championship to Stan Stasiak never to win the title again. In 1995 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Roman Reigns Beat Pedro Morales’ 1027 World Title Reign
Roman Reigns is now behind only three wrestlers, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino. He can definitely beat all the reigns except for only one that was set by the legendary professional wrestler Bruno Sammartino who had an unconquerable reign of 2803 days. It would not be possible for Roman Reigns to break this reign and we hope he doesn’t.
Back in those days, there were no weekly shows of WWE, neither any television tappings. There were only house shows and they were not regular either. So it was pretty much common for wrestlers to have such long title reigns. But nowadays, such rains are not only uncommon but criticizable as well.

Roman Reigns might have had a very long title reign but he had to face massive criticism for having such a long Championship reign. He had not been a regular wrestler in WWE neither did he different his title regularly either. He has mostly been a part time champion which has been a big matter of subject for his criticism. Looks like he is not going to drop the Championship before WrestleMania 40, and even at the mentioned event, it is pretty much doubtful that he would drop it.
