WWE Money In The Bank 2023 was one of the most anticipated PLEs of the year. It consisted two traditional MITB matches, along with three title matches and of course the Bloodline Civil War. This is also the first MITB event that took place outside of America.
This year’s MITB had a lot of potential with a total of seven high voltage action packed matches. It had a big potential to be a top class pay per view event of WWE. So how much was it able to deliver? Let us go through all the matches and the big things that took place in the event and see how much was it able to deliver.
WWE Money In The Bank 2023 Results Part 1, Men’s MITB Match, Women’s Tag Team Championship., Huge Surprise
Match 1 – Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match – Damian Priest defeated LA Knight, Logan Paul, Butch, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, and Shinsuke Nakamura
Logan Paul was the first target for the rest of the wrestlers involved in this match. Paul was of course the biggest heel of this match, with LA Knight being The Biggest fan favourite. The home crowd of London decided to cheer for Knight more than any other wrestlers, not even they are home crowd hero Pete Dunne Butch.
The match was extremely fast paced from the very first minute and it was really difficult to take eyes off of it. There were some extreme moment as well as OMG moments like Ricochet flying through a ladder to jump on top of other guys outside of the ring. Ricochet was definitely the most high flying athlete of the match.
Damian Priest Wins Men’s Money In The Bank
Other athletes where equally entertaining, including Logan Paul, but the fans were not pleased with him, neither did they wants to be pleased with him. But we must say that Paul was extremely impressive just like always. During the dying moments of the match, Paul and Ricochet broke through a table which was one of the best moments of the night.
At the end of the match, when it looked like the fan favourite LA Knight would finally conquer the match, Damian Priest, who was also a favourite to win the match finally grabbed the briefcase. The whole match was booked for 20 minutes and it was definitely and excellent match. Priest’s performance in this match was not up to the mark but we hope he turns out to be a good winner.
Match 2 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan defeated Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler to become new champions
It is more important to know that the Women’s Tag Team championship is finally getting some spotlight. The match is pretty good itself. Liv Morgan received the most beating in this match whom the champions completely dominated. The match was looking like pretty predictable but at the end it completely took a drastic change.
Shayna Baszler shocked the entire world when she attacked her own Tag Team partner. She beat down Ronda pretty bad and actually helped Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to recapture the Women’s Tag Team Championships. This match was booked for around 10 minutes.
