Backstage on SmackDown Charlotte Flair was seen walking by. Adam Pearce met her and asked what she was up to. Charlotte said she knew that he did not like competitors getting involved in other’s matches so she was leaving. It pleased Pearce and Charlotte did not stop after that. As Charlotte left, Iyo Sky teased a cash in.
Match 2 – Bayley defeated Zelina Vega
WWE Smackdown 14.07.2023 Results Part 2, Jey Uso Appears, Big Fight, Women’s Action Featuring Bayley
This match is only two minutes long and it is really good to see Bayley getting into the winning ways once again. It was not a very difficult victory for the former three times WWE Women’s Champion, even though it was not a clean win. Bayley pinned Zelina after the Rose Plant.
After the match, when Bayley and Iyo Sky were about to leave the stage, Shotzi appeared on the big screen where she was seen shaving her hair. She did not look sad about it in fact she was laughing quite loudly. This could be a great storyline if implemented well. We have faith in the SmackDown creative team.
Jey Uso Attacked Paul Heyman
Jey Uso came out to the arena. He talked about the incident from last week. He also talked about his bonding with his twin brother Jimmy Uso. He said they lived their life together and when he was hurt, Jey was hurt as well. He respected everyone in his family apart from Roman Reigns.
Paul Heyman interrupted him. He entered the stage with Solo Sikoa. He cut a long promo and the main purpose of the promo was to blame Jey Uso for whatever happened to Jimmy Uso last week on SmackDown. Heyman said that no one in his family would forgive him for what happened to Jimmy. One more thing we get to know that Roman Reigns would not appear tonight.
Solo Sikoa took the mic in his hand next and said that he would not be able to forgive him either. He then attempted to attack Jey but Jey fought back. Ultimately, Jey Uso hit a Superkick on Paul Heyman’s chin which was really satisfying for the fans. He attempted to beat the Special Counsel even more but Solo saved him.
Match 3 – WWE United States Championship Invitational – Santos Escobar defeated Grayson Waller, Butch, and AJ Styles
So this was an invitational match and not a number one contender’s match so previously we were wrong about it. We can expect the fan favourite LA Knight to become a part of it by next week. But it is a little disappointing that back to back two weeks Knight was kept away from Smackdown.
