Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley recently talked about former WWE United States champion Matt Riddle who is currently active on Monday Night RAW and would face Gunther tomorrow on RAW. Dudley claimed that Riddle has not been entertaining since his return to WWE after WrestleMania 39.
Riddle had been extremely entertaining when he was teaming up with Randy Orton last year and their unlikely Tag Team was doing a great job. It was one of the most fan favourite teams of WWE during their time and they also one multiple Tag Team championships too. The fans loved seeing this tag team.

But unfortunately Randy Orton picked up an injury and it sidelined him from action for more than a year. The Viper is yet to make his return and there are massive rumours that he would return to reform his Tag Team with Riddle. Even after the Tag Team stopped due to unfortunate reasons, Riddle was doing pretty well as a solo star.
He even featured on the main event of Extreme Rules 2022 along with Seth Rollins where he defeated the Visionary. Overall he was having an amazing run in 2022. We can even address 2022 as the best year of Riddle’s WWE career. But he was suspended for 60 days on December 13 after he failed WWE’s Wellness Policy.
Matt Riddle Would Face Gunther Tonight On RAW
He made his return to action on the RAW after WrestleMania episode of this year and since his return he has not been as good as she had been throughout last year according to WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley aka Bully Ray. Speaking on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, the former WWE star said;
“I don’t believe Riddle has found the past level of entertainment or the past glory he shared with Randy Orton. And I think we’re seeing how important Randy was to that pairing. Everybody thought it was Riddle. It was Randy. Riddle’s entertaining, don’t get me wrong, but he was a lot more entertaining when he was with Randy. And I think they’re trying to plug him in with Drew and pull off the same things.”
Riddle has mostly worked as a mid card throughout his WWE career and he is playing the similar since Since his return. But he is not being portrayed as impactful as last year. Recently WWE teamed him up with the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre and this team is pretty well received so far. We hope this team becomes a big success in the near future.
