Backstage on RAW, the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville got interviewed by Byron Saxton where he asked if the injury of Raquel Rodriguez helped them to win the title. Sonya claimed that the injury was definitely fake and they won it because they deserved it. The new Champions looked really excited before leaving.
Next they showed footage from SmackDown to promote the Bloodline storyline which was completely unnecessary since last week’s SmackDown did not have a very good continuation of this storyline as Roman Reigns was not present. But they have to waste at least five minutes to promote the Bloodline story every week on RAW.
WWE RAW 17.07.2023 Results Part 3, Finn Balor Attacks Rollins, Big Tag Team Match, Shayna Baszler In Action
Backstage the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was being interviewed by Byron Saxton where he was discussing his future plans. Finn Balor joined the conversation and demanded his rematch and Seth was ready to award him his title shot. The segment ended when Balor attacked Seth Rollins and beat him down.
Match 3 – Viking Rules Match – The Viking Raiders defeated the Alpha Academy
Ronda Rousey Vs. Shayna Baszler Gets Official For Summerslam
This match was presented as a match that would have no rules. But in reality it was just another no DQ match with some Shields surrounding the ring. Overall it was a pretty fun match and it was booked for a little longer than seven minutes. If we say it was one of the most fun matches of the night, we were not being very wrong.
The match had some extreme moments but we expected something more from this match. There was a point when Sarah Logan aka Valhalla put Maxxine Dupri through the table, this moment was pretty well booked. At the end, Otis started dominating the Vikings but they managed to pin Otis with a Double Team Powerbomb.
Match 4 – Shayna Baszler defeated Nikki Cross
This match was booked for 10 seconds. That’s right, 10 seconds. But congratulations to Nikki for at least getting some bookings. Unlike the other jobbers of Monday Night RAW, at least she got something to do. Baszler quickly the Kirifuda Clutch on Nikki as soon as the match started and the former WWE RAW Women’s champion had no answer to it.
After the match ended, Ronda Rousey was seen who was standing on top of the audience gallery. She cut a short promo and at the end of it she called Baszler a knock off herself. Baszler wanted to fight Ronda at the same moment but the security guards stopped her. Ronda then challenged Shayna in a match at SummerSlam which we believe is now official.
