RAW had been pretty weak lately. For the last number of episodes there were big complaints that the red brand of WWE is totally failing to deliver as compared to Friday Night SmackDown. But honestly, this week’s RAW was a very good episode. It was one of the best episodes of The Red brand of WWE in recent weeks.
We cannot say that it was a perfect episode, there were definitely some sides that need to be criticized. But such an episode can definitely make any wrestling fan happy as most part of last night’s show was quite entertaining. They were only six matches but all of them were quite entertaining. The Viking Rules match was a normal No DQ match but it was fun.

WWE RAW 17.07.2023 – The Good, The Bad, And The Unforgettable Ups & Downs From The Show
One of the best parts about the show was the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match as both Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green won their first titles in WWE. The match was pretty well booked as well. By adding the angle between Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley, they made things even more exciting. The Women’s World title picture is still not as good as the Women’s Championship, but at least they are putting some effort into it.
We were expecting to see Tommaso Ciampa would continue his feud with The Miz with Johnny Gargano becoming a part of it. But the way they started the new feud between Ciampa and Bronson Reed having Shinsuke Nakamura becoming a part of it was a pretty innovative idea. Gargano can still become a part of this story in the future.

New Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned Last Night On RAW
The main event of the night was also pretty well booked. It was a 12 minutes long match and it could easily get into a PPV card. The match also helped build up the World Heavyweight title picture as well as the Women’s World title picture with Liv Morgan also becoming a part of it. The whole segment was pretty well managed.
Speaking of the World Heavyweight championship, once again they failed to book proper excitement for this title. The World Heavyweight Championship is supposed to be the biggest price on Monday Night RAW, but the booking for the title still remained pretty weak and it is nothing more than an upper mid card title so far.

The Undisputed Tag Team Champions featured on the main event of tonight’s RAW but it had been quite a long time that the champions did not have any proper feud for the Championship. They are of course defending their titles but as I said, there is no proper feud. Since they are holding both of the Tag Team titles, they should have multiple feuds at the same time on both brands. This remains a weak side of this week’s RAW.
