The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels has mostly become famous as a singles star in the world of professional wrestling. He is considered one of the biggest names in sports entertainment. He is a former four times WWE world champion as well as a two times WWE Hall of Famer. No doubt he is one of the biggest wrestlers WWE has ever produced.
But he is not only famous in singles wrestling. He mostly worked as a tag team wrestler when he started his career. He worked alongside famous professional wrestler Marty Jannetty. Together they were famously known as the Rockers. They have won Tag Team golds from various wrestling promotions, however, they never won WWE Tag Team championships.

The team was in existence for nearly 7 years and they were extremely famous among the wrestling fans. But in early 1992, Shawn Michaels betrayed Marty Jannetty and the duo started working solo. This is where Jannetty’s career went downhill. In spite of the fact he want multiple championships from different promotions, he could never meet his potential.
On the other hand, Shawn Michaels went on to become one of the biggest wrestlers in professional wrestling history. When the duo split back in 1992, everybody expected to see both of them becoming top stars of the wrestling world in the near future. But fate was happy with only one of them. Michaels recently revealed if Jannetty would ever coach NXT. Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, the Heart Break Kid recently said;

I will say this, on the coaching side, the Performance Center is 100% head coach Matt Bloom. One of the things that we say here in NXT is we all stay in our lane. But obviously any former WWE superstars or guys that have mentored guys in the WWE, we always bring through or at least have an opportunity to bring them through, whether it be on a full-time basis or a part-time basis, just coming in to visit.
So having guys come in and help train our young men and women that come through NXT is always something that we encourage here. So having Marty or anybody come through here, we’re always looking forward to having that happen, but that is something that Matt Bloom handles. He takes care of all the coaching and all the people that come through in that respect. But if Marty were to reach out to Matt, I’m sure that’s something he would do his best to work on.
WWE tried to bring back Jannetty a number of times in different roles but it never worked very well. In spite of being extremely talented, he could never become as popular as everybody thought he would be. After 2013, he was not seen in the wrestling ring. Everybody would be delighted to see him back as a coach in the NXT.
