Chelsea Green made her return to WWE during the women’s Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble PLE earlier this year. Fans where really excited to see her until everybody realised that she is back as a jobber only as she could survive in the Royal Rumble match for only 5 seconds.

Green’s early career in WWE was not very fruitful either. She had to go through a lot of struggle and ultimately a release. She worked on different promotions on the independent circuit and on Impact Wrestling after her WWE release and she gained a lot of success. Finally she got to return to WWE and this was also her main roster debut.

From Darkness to Triumph: Chelsea Green’s Courageous Account of Her WWE Struggles

In spite of the fact she got to return to the main roster of WWE, she was not receiving a very good treatment. She was mostly being used as a jobber who loses almost every week. But finally she proved that worth and now she is the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion along with Sonya Deville. Recently she appeared on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast where she opened up about her early struggles;

“I got kicked out of the tryout. I didn’t even make ‘Tough Enough.’ I got kicked out of the tryout and then I got brought back. I got kicked off the show when I thought, ‘This was it, I was winning.’ And then everyone [from that season] got signed except me. I had two more tryouts after that.

Chelsea Green Won WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Last Monday On RAW

“My last tryout, they tried to tell me that they did not need me to have a tryout. They knew what I could do, and there wasn’t a fit for me. And I said, ‘You don’t know what I could do because if you knew what I could do, you would hire me.’ And then they gave me the last tryout and they signed me [in 2018].”

Chelsea Green teamed up with Sonya Deville a couple of months ago, but their tag team was mostly used as a filler who jobbed to top teams during their early days. But soon WWE understood this team is too good to be a jobber, and finally, this talented duo is now the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Both Green and Deville won they are first titles on WWE last Monday on RAW. Deville is working in WWE for quite a long time and she had to wait to win her first title longer than Green. A cheeky heel Tag Team champion would be really fun to see and we hope they would keep up the good work to keep the fans entertained.
