Bhuvneshwar Kumar, currently out-of-favor Indian speedster sent the Twitterverse into a tizzy by merely changing something in his Instagram bio. The 33-year-old bowler removed the word ‘cricketer’ from the information on his profile.
Bhuvneshwar, 33, last competed for India in a T20I in New Zealand in November of last year. He was then benched for the domestic series against the Blackcaps and Sri Lanka. Despite appearing in all 14 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023, Bhuvneshwar did not make the Indian team for the three ODIs against Australia. Since then, the India fast bowler has not been seen in Indian colors.
Furthermore, there haven’t been any reports of Bhuvneshwar being hurt, making his absence all the more perplexing. He hasn’t played any competitive cricket since the IPL 2023, and he even avoided playing domestic cricket.

On Friday, hawkish users on Twitter noticed how Bhuvneshwar dropped the word ‘Cricketer’ from his description. Earlier going by ‘Indian cricketer’, Bhuvi’s current profile reads ‘Indian’, leading many to wonder, if the swing king of India has played his final game for the Men in Blue.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played 21 Tests, 121 ODIs, and 87 T20Is for India, picking 63, 141, and 90 wickets respectively. He was the first Indian to take a fifer in T20Is and has two five-wicket hauls to his name in T20Is.
No mug with the bat, Bhuvneshwar also has three fifties in Test cricket and one match-winning half-century in ODIs.
