John Cena’s Words of Wisdom: How They Impacted a Former Champion
Former WWE United States champion recently talked about Cena and shared massive praise for the former 16 times WWE World Champion. Corbin thanked Cena for helping him in his career and revealed what advice he shared and how every time John Cena shows his love towards him. Speaking on the latest edition of WWE’s “After the Bell” podcast, The Lone Wolf said;
On his conversations with Cena: “I had a lot of conversations with John Cena, and he’s a guy that will give you the truth no matter what. There’s few people in this business who will do that. Two things that he’s really preached on me is always think about what’s next … a lot of guys don’t do that. When I had a match with him at SummerSlam, he said to think about Monday night. I always try to think of that.”
Baron Corbin Shares Respect For Cena
On what Cena told him that really stuck with him: “The other thing that really stuck with me that John has preached, which I think helped my career immensely, was how do you take what you’re given and make it the absolute best you can. We all get promos, we all get opportunities, we all get things that we may or may not want to do … how do I make it stand out, how do I make it amazing, how do I take it and turn it into gold? If you can do that, you’ll get longevity in your new career.”
Baron Corbin is active in WWE for over a decade and he is one of the regular stars of the promotion. He went through a lot of ups and down throughout his career and he has won multiple big Championships. Right now he is active in WWE NXT where he is completely dominating the brand. We hope to see him working as a top star in the main roster soon.
In spite of being one of the most talented stars of WWE, he was demoted to the NXT recently where he is doing pretty good job. Over the last few years, he was being treated as a jobber in WWE and the promotion wanted to utilize him more so they sent him back to the NXT once again. We seriously hope that he comes back to the main roster stronger than ever.
