NXT is receiving improved ratings and viewership over the weeks under the reign of Shawn Michaels and it looks like that soon the development Territory of WWE would give legit competition to the AEW Dynamite which airs on the same day and same time. It is reported that WWE has the same vision and their pushing really high to beat AEW Dynamite.
It is reported that NXT received over 700k viewership last Tuesday which is one of the best of the recent time. It barely crossed 400k viewership just a number of months ago. In a very short amount of time they have almost started to receive double of what they were used to. This is a brilliant improvement.

Recently WWE adopted a new technique to increase the ratings and viewership of the NXT. They have started to use main roster talents in the NXT. One of the biggest triumphs made by a main roster star in the NXT is Dominik Mysterio’s North American Championship victory. Shawn Michaels recently talked about Dirty Dom’s excellent work in the NXT when he recently spoke to Daily Star;
“It is an interesting situation for him as he was literally thrown in to the deep end pretty quickly,” he explained, “He has been around this line of work his entire life, so that much he was used to – the environment.”
“But once you get out there and are filling the shoes he’s trying to fill, it’s a pretty daunting task.
Shawn Michaels Shares Praise For Dominik Mysterio
“There’s almost no way for people to live up to the legacies of their fathers. Some do, but it’s very rough and tough for any child of a WWE Superstar.
“Dom has done a wonderful job, but he’s had to do it on the big stage.” HBK continued, “I think this is a great reprieve and opportunity for him.”
He added: “Clearly, he’s still out there on the main roster but he is allowed to come back here, and we’ve had a few talks.
“I wanted to be able to work on some of the things he feels he wants to work on, or to try things and maybe have more freedom down here, and a bit less structure.” said Michaels, “Also [he can] find out who Dom Mysterio is going to be, separated from his father.”
Dominik Mysterio defeated Wes Lee last week on NXT and in only one week time he has defended his Championship three times in total. Dominik was not one of the fan favourite but he is going as a fighting champion in spite of being a heel. He is trying to gain some respect from the fans with his regular title defence. Overall he is doing a pretty good job.
