Cody Rhodes is currently one of the top stars of WWE and he is one of the biggest attractions of the promotion as well. For the first time in his professional wrestling career he is being treated as a main event star in a major promotion. He made his return to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38 and that is where his main event push started.
Cody had a series of Mega matches with Seth Rollins upon his return to WWE and in every case he came out victorious against the Visionary. Their match at Hell in a Cell was elected to be the top match of 2022. But it was pretty unfortunate that he picked up a major injury just before the event which sidelined him from action for eight long months.

He returned to the Royal Rumble PLE and participated in the men’s Royal Rumble match to win it. At WrestleMania 39 he went on to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship on the main event of the show. Unfortunately he lost the match but it was a huge accomplishment indeed.
Before returning to WWE he was active on the AEW where he was mostly being treated as a mid card. He had a number of big fews and matches during his time in the AEW. Recently he received that he was almost certain to work with Sting while he was in AEW. Speaking with ComicBook.com, he revealed;

“I was going to wrestle Sting,” he confirmed. “I don’t think I’ve ever shared that with anybody and nothing was on paper or anything like that. But I can say I got a tremendous offer from AEW creatively, financially, the full package … It was a tremendous offer, but the offer wasn’t right for me.
“What I wanted to get back to was the first goal that I ever had [winning the WWE Championship]. But yeah, that probably would’ve been the endgame. That’s what had been discussed, was to get one [match] with one of my heroes, Sting.” Concluded Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes is still one of the top stars of WWE who is currently involved in a feud with Brock Lesnar and at SummerSlam the duo would face each other for the third time. There are a massive rumours that Cody would be facing Roman Reigns in a rematch at WrestleMania 40 for the Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship.
