Antonio Conte, the new Chelsea boss has a huge job at hand, this summer.
He will surely have to improve his squad to compete with the best next season. He has already bought in the likes of Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante to the club ahead of the next season and is still in the transfer market for some more additions.
However, he will now have to decide on letting players leave this summer and one such story sees midfielder Nemanja Matic linked with a move to Italy.
Italian giants Juventus are close to sealing a £100million deal with Manchester United for midfield sensation Paul Pogba and are hoping to use it on other transfer targets this summer.
Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain heads the transfer list at Turin but it is now revealed that Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic is eyed as a replacement for Pogba in the midfield.
The Serbian international was a key part of the title winnings squad at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho an year ago but lost his place once the Portuguese left the club late last year.

He is now deemed to be excess in the squad especially after the arrival of Kante and is ready to listen to offers. And it is now understood that Massimiliano Allegri has made the 27-year old his top transfer target just ahead of Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko.
Matic moved to Chelsea from Benfica in a £30m deal and is not expected to fetch so much this season but Conte wants to make place for other signings and is reportedly ready to let him leave for Italy.
No official word is out yet about this story but it looks like a move that will benefit all parties involved and will help the player get some game time under his belt.
The 27-year old is a quality player who can not only control the midfield but also score goals from the midfield and though he is not a like for like replacement for Pogba, he is a player who will suit Allegri’s style of play in Turin.
