This year’s Summerslam came up some excellent five star quality matches. But not all matches were up to the mark. There was definitely the MMA Rules match which was not only boring but looked totally fake. The kicks and the punches never looked anything close to what they do in the MMA. This was definitely one of the worst matches of the night and big disappointment as well.
Shayna Baszler vs. Ronda Rousey was not the only bad match of the event. The main event match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso was not up to the mark either. It was a good match of course, but honestly, it was quite repetitive and had nothing new to offer. It was extremely predictable. The fans were only waiting to see how Roman Reigns gets to keep the title this time and nothing else. The product was so repetitive that even Jimmy’s betrayal did not make any difference either.

The rest of the matches were pretty good. The opening match between Logan Paul and Ricochet was an excellent way to start things off for the night. But we still believe the ending of the match was not up to the mark. If it met a clean finish it could have been treated as a 5 Star match. But the match overall was pretty good and definitely deserves to be on such a card.
The final match of the long running feud between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes was the best encounter these two had. After the match Brock Lesnar paid homage to Cody Rhodes which gave him the ultimate boost to be the top star of the promotion. Where would the American Nightmare go from now? Should he feud for the World Heavyweight Championship?
Iyo Sky Successfully Cashed In Her MITB Contract
Speaking of the World Heavyweight Championship, the title was defended tonight and this match was arguably the best match of the night. Unlike the last time, this time the ending was pretty well produced. It looks like this feud is over by now. But we still believe Finn Balor should have won the World Heavyweight Championship tonight.
The other two title matches of the night were also excellent. Gunther defeating Drew McIntyre was pretty much predictable but the way they did it was pretty clever and it was not a burial for the Scottish Warrior either. The Women’s championship match was also pretty good, and Iyo Sky cashing in on Bianca was also excellently booked.
LA Knight winning the WWE Summerslam Battle Royal was one of the biggest satisfaction of the night. Finally the fans got something to rejoice. The match itself was also excellent and pretty entertaining. LA Knight’s was special and we seriously hope that this turns out to be the beginning of his big push which he definitely deserves. Overall, Summerslam 2023 was a very good show.
