Rohit Sharma opened up about the high-octane clash with arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023. India will take on Pakistan on September 2 at Kandy. The tournament shall be played between August 30 and September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka being the joint host of the tournament.

The six-nation tournament being held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka is based on the hybrid concept, where both countries will co-host the event as four matches will be played in Pakistan, and the remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka including the mega final.

Speaking on Star Sports, Rohit Sharma said that it was always challenging to play against Pakistan as they will require a lot of effort to beat them in the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023.

“When you play against Pakistan, it’s always challenging, to beat them, and to play against them, we have to do a whole lot,” Rohit Sharma said.

The two giants of Asian cricket are set to clash in the ODI formats in the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup later this year in India.
