KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer’s return from an injury is a positive sign for the Indian team selectors and team management will be hoping for these players to deliver well for India in the Asia Cup 2023 followed by carrying their form into the World Cup in India. Both batters will be crucial for the team’s success in the continental event, as they can solve the middle-order woes of India’s team.

Comeback man KL Rahul was seen taking part in wicket-keeping drills on Day 3 of the preparatory camp in Alur alongside batting while Shreyas Iyer was seen taking long batting in the nets to get himself ready for the mega events in the upcoming months.

According to reports in Star Sports, Prasidh Krishna, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Tilak Varma have joined the team after the team following completion of the three-match Ireland series.

Jasprit Bumrah is expected to walk into the Playing 11 for the game against Pakistan, while it will interesting to see whether India gives Tilak Varma an opportunity to debut against the Men in Green before the selections of the ODI World Cup squad.
