Chelsea to battle it out with Everton for star EURO16 winning midfielder 1

One of the few clubs in the Premier League that are going through a big transition this summer, Chelsea, have been busy in the transfer market.

The new manager at the club will surely try and shape his team to his needs and will need to buy more players in the transfer window than he already did.

So it is no surprise that the Stamford Bridge outfit is linked to some of the best players in the business this summer. The manager is currently in a desperate search for a centre-back and a midfielder and a new report suggests that the London club will fight with Everton for two transfer targets.

Kalidou Koulibay has been on the radar of both the clubs for some time now with both clubs ready to offer whatever the asking price is from Napoli but one player who has now joined the battle between two clubs is William Carvalho.

The Merseyside outfit are understood to be favorites to land the 24-year old EURO16 winner but it is now revealed that Antonio Conte also wants to add the midfielder to his squad this summer.

Chelsea have already managed to lure Premier League title winner N’ Golo Kante from Leicester City this summer but the manager is still in search for another quality midfielder as a part of the squad overhaul this summer.

This has seen them linked with a few quality midfielders this summer with Carvalho being the latest.

The London outfit are also looking for Sporting midfielder Joao Mario this summer but his club values him at £50m which is slightly on the higher side.

However, it is now understood that the club has turned their attention towards Carvalho and will have to battle it out with Everton for yet another player this summer.

It is an interesting move by the club as they already have the likes of Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas and John Obi-Mikel in their ranks for this position.

Matic was linked with a move to Juventus and Manchester United but Conte has revealed that he is integral to his plans at the club and has revealed that he will not be leaving this summer.

So it is hard to understand why Conte wants another midfielder of such quality but if he can get his hands on Carvalho, he will have accumulated a squad that is one of the strongest in the league.

Do you think Carvalho should move to Chelsea this summer?
