Chelsea ready to make improve bid to land top summer transfer target 1

Antonio Conte seems to be a busy man with loads of changes still to be made to his squad ahead of the next season.

The new manager will have his own set of requirements at the club and will be in search for unique players who fit his bill and Conte is now in search of more than one such player for different positions in the squad.

But one player whose story is slowly turning into a saga is Everton’s starlet Romelu Lukaku.

The 23-year moved to the Merseyside from Chelsea a couple of years ago and has ever since been in the form of his life for the Toffees.

He moved to Everton on a £28million, a club record for the Toffees and it is understood that Antonio Conte now wants him back at the club this summer and is ready to splash the cash.

Chelsea currently have Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi in their ranks in attack while Loic Remy is still linked with a move away from the club.

The manager uses a system that needs two strikers up front which has left Conte in search of a top class striker who can act as a back-up. But with Diego Cost attracting interests from Atletico Madrid, it is revealed that Conte has turned his attention towards the 25-goal star from Everton.

The Blues made an approach earlier last week for a £57m deal but it was revealed that the Goodison Park outfit are not ready to accept his valuation and revealed that they will only listen to offers when their valuation of £75m is met.

Lukaku has three years left on his contract at Everton. That along with his age, his form and the inflation in the EPL has seen his price rise to £75m.

Antonio Conte is desperate for his signature and was gutted after his £57m bid was turned down. However, he is not ready to give up on the Belgian and is now readying another £68m bid in hope to lure him out of Everton this summer.

Lukaku revealed that he wants to play European football regularly and though Chelsea cannot provide that in the next season, they are expected to be present in the Champions League a season later making this move a sensible one for Lukaku.

Chelsea will be kicking themselves to have let him leave so cheaply a few years ago but are looking to do everything they can to get him back this summer.
