The journey of International cricket for Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been full of ups and downs . After making a sensational debut, he lived upto the expectations and was the unsung hero of India’s triumph in the 2013 Champions trophy, wher Indian batsman took away all the credit. But, soon the emergence of Shami and a bit of below par performance saw him become an irregular member of the squad for sometime.
But , he has fought back his way and has done it in style. Not very agressive in nature, neither with the ball nor with the pace but what has been his success mantra so far has been control and an amazing ability to swing the ball both ways. His ability to learn quickly has helped him establish himself again in International arena. With a very good show in the IPL , and the main part being the death overs, Bhuvi was set to conquer again.
Before the series with England started, the experts had more a sort of similar opinion of Buvi being the triumph card. The reason was very loud and clear and it being the form with which Bhuvi was coming into the series and the aid he will be getting from the conditions, both the pitch and the weather. And so far, it has been a dream run for Bhuvi in England , both with the bat and ball.
Bhuvi took 6 wickets in England’s first innings of the 2nd Test match and in the process became the 3rd Indian to pick up 6 wickets in a Test innings at Lords by an Indian. Also, he is now only the 8th Indian to pick up two 5-wicket hauls in England.
