There are great batsmen, there are great bowlers and then there is Jacques Kallis. A person who was always in his class of his own. He is considered to be one of the best all rounder the world of cricket has ever seen. While there were many people who questioned his ability with bat in the shorter format of the game were again and again proved wrong.
But unfortunately his dream of playing in the 2015 World Cup came to an end when this man announced his retirement from ODI cricket as well. This announcement came just after his not so good tour in Sri Lanka. He just felt that his time had come to leave International cricket and pass on the responsibility to the younger ones.
Let us take a look at his International career in ODI cricket-
| Bat | Matches – 328 | Runs – 11579 | Avg – 44.36 | SR – 72.89 | 100/50 – 17/86 |
| Bowl | Matches – 328 | Wickets – 273 | Avg – 31.79 | SR – 4.84 | Overs/Match – 5.3 |
