England took full command of the third One-Day International (ODI) after scoring a mammoth 444 for 3.
Eoin Morgan’s side is leading the five-match series by 2-0 after winning the first two matches. They won a rain-hit opening encounter at the Ageas Bowl by 44 runs on the Duckworth–Lewis method last Wednesday. The hosts then followed that up with another comfortable victory at Lord’s on Saturday.
Coming to this match, England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first. The English openers added only 33 runs for the first wicket but then Alex Hales and Joe Root sent the Pakistani bowlers on a leather hunt as they added 248 runs for the second wicket. Alex Hales scored his maiden 150 in ODIs and was dismissed after scoring 171. The brilliant knock was studded with 22 fours and 4 sixes. The knock is now the highest individual score by an English player in ODIs. With the platform set, Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan fired on all cylinders to take England to a massive total of 4. Jos Buttler scored 90 with the help of 3 fours and 7 sixes while Morgan scored 57 with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes.
As expected , fans on Twitter went berserk after the explosive batting display by England. Here are some of the tweets:

If Pakistan is given the chance to bat twice in this ODI inning, surely they won't be able to reach this target. Debacle from Pak.#ENGvPAK
