Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is reportedly scheduled to return from injury this month.
The 21-year-old suffered a horrific knee injury earlier this year in the Blues’ meeting with Manchester United.
It cost him a place in France’s squad at this summer’s European Championships and forced the London club to delve into the transfer market.
Indeed, on deadline day, the Blues secured a deal to re-sign David Luiz.
According to the The Telegraph, Zouma is set to return to the first-team set-up in September, with his recovery from an ACL problem almost complete.
Prior to his setback, the Lyon native was establishing himself as a regular presence in the heart of Chelsea’s defence.
His impressive displays earned him a first international cap in France’s win over Denmark on March 2015.
Since arriving from Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2014, the Chelsea No.5 has made 58 appearances across all competitions, while scoring four goals and creating a further two.
Last season, he missed only two of the club’s first 25 matches in the top-flight as they endured an awful title defence.
Heading into the international break, Chelsea are one of three clubs with a 100% record in the Premier League.
A narrow opening day success at home against West Ham United was followed by a comeback victory away to Watford, before a comfortable win over Burnley.
