Indian limited overs captain M.S. Dhoni, though, has retired from the longest format of the game year and a half ago but he is still an active participant in the limited overs format. Not only a participant but also a record breaker too as with each passing day he is nearing to one or the other record.

Dhoni who is one of the power hitters in the international cricket arena is on the verge of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of hitting most sixes in ODI’s for India. Currently, Dhoni is in the sixth spot with 192 sixes alongside his name whereas Sachin Tendulkar is in the fifth spot with 195 sixes. Dhoni needs just 4 more sixes to overtake Sachin Tendulkar and climbing to the fifth spot in the list. He has a fair chance of breaking this record in the upcoming home series against New Zealand.

New Zealand is scheduled to play 5 matches ODI series against India; Dhoni can easily break the record even in one match. After breaking Tendulkar’s record he can target Brendon McCullum’s record who have cleared the ropes 200 times. So Dhoni has a big record waiting for him in the upcoming series which he might break even in one or two contests.
