Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has hinted that he could move to Major Soccer League in USA following his admiration for the country.
The German international is into his fourth season at Emirates after leaving Real Madrid in 2013. He is considered as the best signing Arsenal have made since Theirry Henry as the midfielder has earned applauds from all over England in the last three years.
However, his future remains unclear at Arsenal after player has stalled contract talks and there has been skepticism among fans that he could leave the club in search of new challenge.
He still has two years left in his contract and will be having a meeting with club officials this week to sort out his future at the club. The 27-year old career graph shows that he doesn’t stay at a particular club for more than two to three years (Schalke 2005-2008, Werder Bremen 2008-2010, Real Madrid 2010-2013).
He is the best play-maker in England as his vision is often unbelievable and Arsenal are keen to keep hold of their star by giving him a better contract. The future of Ozil could be a subject of concern for the club and Arsene Wenger as it could be a major blow for Gunners if he leaves in search of new challenge or silverware.
Ozil said: “In football, you can never say never. You don’t know what will happen. I had a good time in Germany. That was a lot of fun.
“Eventually [the MLS] could be an option. I have fun everywhere. My fans know I like to spend my vacation in Los Angeles, because the city inspires me.”
