Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the ODI squad for the Afghanistan and England ODI series. Bangladesh will play 3 ODI matches against Afghanistan and 3 against England. The team has picked 3 uncapped players in the team. Miraz who captained Bangladesh in the Under 19 World Cup in 2016, Subash Roy and Alauddin Babu has been called into the national squad for the first time.
”The team for Afghanistan series will definitely be made from this list. And it’s very unlikely that someone outside this list will be selected for England series, unless something important comes up,” Habibul Bashar, a member of the selection panel, said on Tuesday.
”For the national team, we had our eyes on a number of players from both the preliminary camp and HP. We stayed open for picking players from anywhere, if necessary. But do keep in mind, it’s an initial squad. There is still the matter of getting in the final team,” Bashar added.
The squad for the Afghanistan series will be announced on 18th September. They will play three ODI matches on 25th , 29th and 1st October 2016 against Afghanistan. While they will take on England in three ODI and two tests matches in October.
